through the thin veil
of this sheer pall
i barely apprehend
my delicate disposition
which has subsequently
become precisely so dense
so as to suffuse my spirit
with the wondrous weight
of this elixir of life
which bathes me
with diffused but buoyant light
to keep me from a furtive descent


from which my eyes now clouded with tears
can see clearly that i have yet to acquire
the unique appreciation of
the determination in your enveloping caress
that has marked me unbound
in a time and a place
etched before the foundations
that were sown in accordance
with your lasting persuasion
and radical resolve


not yet fully obscured is your exploit
in the untroubled gossamer waves
of a breathtaking luminescence
half-glanced in my shrouded center
which has left me unhindered
in the circumstance of my instance
for such a one as you
who has considered
even me precious enough
to taste of an age yet to come
where you fully dwell
and in spite of everything
that has gone before and after
to reveal yourself
here and now
